"I was glad when they said unto me,
We will go into the House of the Lord!"
e bid you welcome to our Parish Church and hope that you will enjoy the peace and beauty of this place.
The building itself speaks of enduring values and of the steadfast love of God which has been our hope and strength through many generations.
either armed raiders from the north, civil war and political upheaval, plagues, poverty or disastrous fire have been able to extinguish the spiritual light of the Christian Faith for the people of Whickham.
or hundreds of years, men and women have come here with their anxieties, their joys and sorrows, have felt God's presence and found peace in prayer.
May you too find something of this reassurance of faith, and may God guide you in the days ahead.
