Photography in St Mary's

Is there anything we should know about the service?

The dignity of the Marriage Services is vitally important. It is therefore important that any photographer knows that ‘still photography’ will not be allowed during the service apart from the moments of signing the register and the final procession. One Video of the service may be made, however the camera must be positioned at one of three fixed points. If you wish we will allow friends or family members to sing during the service. The building has a good acoustic and suits most types of voice, particularly when accompanied by musicians. However requests for the use of backing tapes or discs, along with performers own amplifiers and microphones will, in most cases, be declined.

Please note that there are clear rules concerning the use of video equipment in church , the Rector will give you further information. Also, it is your responsibility to ensure that all the necessary video recording licences are obtained. These depend on your requirements in church and at the reception.

For further information, and to obtain the licences please contact www.wvrl.co.uk . We do not allow any unauthorised photography or videoing during the ceremony and we need to see the relevant video licences before the ceremony.
