Bible Readings

The Bible is arguably the most influential book there has ever been.  For almost 2000 years it has deeply affected the thinking and lifestyle of people throughout the world.

In the Bible we learn about the encounter of the people of Israel with God the creator of the universe; we learn about God coming into the world in Jesus Christ; we learn about the birth of the early Church in the power of God the Holy Spirit.  There are many, many reasons for reading the Bible not least of all the opportunity to encounter God for ourselves!

This page offers a number of Bible passages to read, reflect on or study during the week to encourage us to make time to read the Bible.  There are links to on-line versions of the text or the references can be used to look up the passages in our own Bibles.
